Getting a steel building approved in Lehi

On a lot under 22,000 sq ft, plan on a one-story building no taller than your house. Height is what sets the setback, so the roof counts. A 24 ft wide building with 10 to 12 ft walls and a 3:12 roof peaks at about 13 to 15 ft, under the 16 ft line that keeps the side and rear setback at 2 ft. Wider or taller shops move to the 5 ft setback. We will check the peak height for your design.

In the TH-5, A-5, A-1 and RA-1 zones, buildings used only for farming (barns, bins, machinery sheds) are treated as principal buildings under the zone rules, not accessory buildings.
