If you want a shop bigger than your house, West Jordan allows that only in agricultural (A) zones. In most neighborhoods the building also has to fit within 20% of its yard, so a rear-yard shop on a typical lot is usually a garage-sized building.
A garage that is the property's only garage must be at least 20 by 20 ft and fully enclosed.
